On January 28, 2005, Jane Schumacher died in a car accident. Jane earned her black belt with Pierre Tae Kwon Do in 1995.

At the time of her death she was a Second Degree Black Belt and the lead instructor of her own school in Custer South Dakota.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and students. We will be working with her students to help them adjust to their loss of instructor.

On May 21, 2005, Pierre Tae Kwon Do held a memorial seminar in honor of Jane Schumacher. Master Dana Vaillancourt graciously presented the seminar focusing on front leg sparring along with breaking techniques. The seminar was well attended and greatly enjoyed by all.

Pierre TKD hosted the Second Jane Schumacher Memorial Seminar on December 2, 2006. Master Dana Vaillancourt once again graciously led the seminar. Focus was on front leg sparring, firearm defense, baseball bat defense and joint locks and pressure points. Here are some photographs from that seminar.
